this is very useful, thanks ! i will keep some of the stuff mentioned on here in mind, but some of the stuff i wont need to worry about because the con im going to is only like 15, 20 minutes away if my dad is able to drive me there, and because i live near where the con is being held this year, but im only going 2 days.
even when i go on a trip with my sister i keep a list of things i bring with me anyway, so it's all good. i dont mean sound like im demeaning myself by saying this, but i feel sort of stupid by asking this, but i actually never knew how much stuff what planned out to go to a con.
yeah, i knew about bringing money, and definately how much a costume of your choice would cost, bringing a camera, and seeing who is able to take you there if the con is in driving distance and bringing a list of stuff you brought with you and all that sort of stuff. <x] It's a good thing I did my homework x]
<x] i forgot to add, what did you mean bringing stuff like sharpies for autographs? i wrote that down just to keep in mind, but i dont think (atleast maybe not) have to worry about that.
People like voice actors and writers show up to conventions as guests and they might not have a marker to autograph your stuff with so bring one just in case.
Aw.. well, I'm sorry..Very sorry. I didn't really intend to post it publicly in the beginning, I just wanted to help my (very, very few) forums members who only speak french. But I thought that, since I went thru the trouble of translating it, I might as well post it to help other people aswell, since it's the goal of a tutorial/guide, right? I just found your guide very helpful and thought that people who can't speak a word of english should profit of your good advices as well. Maybe I was wrong.. *shrug shyly, pouting*
Maybe I'm too idealistic, but I just want every cosplayer or con-goer to be able to reach for the ressources they need. I feel it's unfair that people who are bad with languages are also often disapointed about what do to, how to do it, etc. Especially those who are forever alone with their passion. That's why I translate. So that everyone can start at the same point.
Maybe I should have asked.. But I was so eager to do it (because it's so helpful!) that I'm not sure I could have been able to face a no
Anyway, I'm very sorry, and I hope I didn't offend you.
